Pokemon Unite Anniversary: Celebrating Three Years of Team Battles

Fresh Battle Pass, Engaging Activities, and Special Game Mode Available Now.

Pokémon UNITE has introduced a variety of exciting in-game events to celebrate its third anniversary. These activities are accessible to players on both Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms.

Legendary Addition: Ho-Oh

In a significant update, the revered Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh has made its entrance as a ranged Defender. Ho-Oh is equipped with an impressive Ability known as Regenerator, which allows it to gradually restore HP when it remains unscathed by opponents for a specific duration. This feature adds an intriguing layer of strategy for players during matches.

Ho-Oh’s moveset is designed to keep users engaged, highlighted by its Unite Move, Rekindling Flame. In this powerful move, Ho-Oh unleashes its wings and uses all Aeos energy at its disposal to revive fallen teammates. The effectiveness of this move increases with the amount of Aeos energy consumed, making it a pivotal ability for turning the tide during intense battles.

Limited-Time Events

Trainers in Pokémon UNITE can engage in a range of entertaining events offered to commemorate three years since the game’s launch:

• Ho-Oh Commemorative Celebration
Duration: 19 July at 00:00 UTC to 11 August at 23:59 UTC
Each day during the event, players will receive one free die. Rolling the die advances them on a game board where they must complete the mission corresponding to the space they land on to roll again. Accumulating 1,000 Divine Forest coins allows players to exchange these for Ho-Oh’s Unite licence.
• Panic Parade Revival
Duration: 19 July at 00:00 UTC to 4 September at 23:59 UTC
The popular tower-defense game mode makes a comeback. Players need to defend Tinkaton from waves of encroaching wild Pokémon. Some Pokémon will be available to call back into action, offering essential bursts of help to change the course of the battle.
• Charizard Unite Licence Giveaway
Duration: 19 July at 00:00 UTC to 2 September at 23:59 UTC
Players logging in during this period can choose one of the following rewards: a Charizard-themed hat, Charizard’s Unite licence, or 100 Aeos coins. Each account can only redeem one of these options upon their first login.
• New Themed Battle Pass
Duration: 21 July at 00:00 UTC to 4 September at 23:59 UTC
This new Battle Pass features a theme centred around black flames. Players can elevate their gaming experience by purchasing the premium pass, enabling them to unlock exclusive rewards. Among the coveted items to obtain is the distinguished Dark Lord Style: Charizard holowear, available as players progress through the pass.

Important Note on Divine Forest Coins:

Divine Forest coins can only be redeemed between 19 July at 00:00 UTC and 11 August at 23:59 UTC. Any unused Divine Forest coins after this period will expire, encouraging players to engage actively during the event.
